Exwold Technology is proud to announce its support for the free breakfast scheme at High Tunstall College of Science in Hartlepool. The company has generously donated £1,000 to the scheme, which aims to provide a nutritious breakfast to as many students as possible, especially during these challenging times.

The school has been serving toast each morning to students, free of charge and without any restrictions. With the support of Exwold, the school has now been able to apply for additional funding from the Department of Education, which enables it to expand its breakfast provision to include a wider variety of options, such as bagels, spreads, and cereal. This will provide a nutritious breakfast for up to 180 students daily, ensuring they don’t start the school day on an empty stomach and are able to concentrate better in lessons.

“We are incredibly grateful for Exwold’s support,” said headteacher, Mark Tilling. “This funding will have a significant impact on the wellbeing and education of our students. It will also make a real difference to the community, as no child should have to start their day without a proper meal. I am extremely proud of my staff, especially Stacey Lester and Laura Ovens, for their dedication and hard work in making this scheme a reality. This is an important part of the work we do in caring for our children and removing barriers to learning.”
