It was fantastic to be invited along to the opening of Clavering Primary School’s new ‘book nook’. The perfect place to pick out a favourite read, Exwold’s donation has helped fill its shelves with exciting stories and adventures.
Kevin Martin, managing director, explained, “We were approached by Benjamin Wild, our compliance manager, whose child attends the school. Asked to support the development of a book nook, we were more than happy to help.”
The nook is a cozy, inviting corner designed to foster a love of reading among students. Bright and colourful, it boasts a wide range of books, and is set to become a favourite spot for students. The space provides a welcoming atmosphere where children can explore various genres and discover the joy of reading.
Exwold’s involvement in this project highlights their commitment to community engagement and supporting local education initiatives. Their donation meant the school could purchase a variety of books, catering to all age groups and interests, ensuring that every student can find something that captures their imagination.
David Tunney, operations director, shared his enthusiasm for the project. “It’s wonderful to see the children’s excitement about the new book nook. Reading is such an important skill, and we hope this space will encourage them to develop a lifelong love of books.”
The school’s expressed their gratitude for Exwold’s contribution, noting the positive impact the book nook will have on students’ learning experiences. Benjamin Wild, whose interest in the initiative sparked Exwold’s involvement, spoke about the importance of community partnerships in education. “As a parent and a member of the Exwold team, I believe it’s a great example of how businesses and schools can work together to create something truly special for our children.”
