Exwold pleased to support the local environment
Hartlepool Borough Council have been planting wild flowers beds in the distinct locations around the town in recent years and this has proven extremely popular with the local community and visitors alike. Simon Lamplough of the borough's Economic Regeneration Team approached Exwold for support to build on this work and provide an additional planted area. We were immediately keen to help with this project and are delighted to support the addition of a wild flower bed on a previously neglected strip of land close to our production facilities.
Since then it has proved to be successful that Council bosses decided to extend it across the town.
Planting has taken place in over 40 locations giving more people the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful array of flowers including Brenda Road where Exwold are located.
Sam Price, Commercial Director commented " it is an absolute delight to drive past this beautiful display of wild flowers on the way to work each day and definitely brightens my day. I am sure other people who drive by agree. As well as being lovely to look at, planting such as these enhance the environment helping to protect bees, butterflies and other insects. Exwold are proud to have supported the council in this wonderful initiative"
